"A full bodied golden Pale Ale which pours with a linen white medium density head leaving spider web lace on the glass.
On the palate the flavour is sweet fruity malts up front (apricot, mango) with a bit of candy, and slight grassy notes which fall away to reveal a hint of biscuit with rather pleasant grapefruit and perfume undertones.
This is a hop bomb, there is no doubt. To the nose there is a mild malt aroma which accentuates the robust floral bouquet which is derived from the hops.
Medium full bodied ale with pleasant lingering hop finish."
the Look: nice, deep golden colour out of the bottle to a slightly larger bubbled head, faded quickly.
the Smell: spicy notes on the nose, very pleasant
the Taste: full flavour, hoppy, but not overdone, lingers well on the back of your tongue, a slight metallic aftertaste, but nothing concerning. Generally enjoyable.
the Feel: perfect moderate feel, not too heavy for the flavour, not to light for the aroma.
Overall: a very pleasant, drinkable beer that I fully enjoy every time I pick up a growler. While I wouldn’t call it a “hop bomb” al la Hopslam, it’s a tasty alternative, and a good stage two beer for those used to drinking the large breweries offerings. I think it would go well with roasted game and flavourful barbecued meats.
