It's a Lifestyle: The Beer Store Offers New Urban Experience

Mississauga, ON

The Beer Store is enriching its customer experience with new initiatives that cater to the beer lover's lifestyle. The company has relaunched its website with mobile capabilities - including a GPS Beer Store locator - offering beer enthusiasts food pairings, recipes, insider information and timely promotions. At the same time, The Beer Boutique, opening its doors in Liberty Village on June 14, is an exciting new retail destination and the first of its kind in Ontario. Both initiatives will allow The Beer Store to further engage and interact with its loyal customers, while offering a broader lifestyle experience.

"We relaunched our website with mobile capabilities because we know our customers are on the go and want an easy, accessible way to get great food pairings, recipes, and information quickly," said Ted Moroz, President of The Beer Store. "We also have the unique opportunity to offer our urban customers a new experience with The Beer Boutique."

The Beer Boutique, a 2,700-square building located at 21 Lynn Williams St. in the heart of Liberty Village, will be open to the public on Tuesday, June 14 with business hours of 9:30am - 9pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm - 5pm on Sundays. Designed by renowned Toronto firm II By IV, the space offers beer lovers a unique shopping experience unlike anything else. There will be tasting and pairing events at the central chef's table and customers are encouraged to browse the shelves at leisure while interacting with staff. Catering to the hard core city-dweller who may find carrying a "2-4" a challenge on a bike or bus, beer will be sold as singles, six and 12-packs, or an eight-pack cardboard carrier that encourages shoppers to mix and match.

To complement its robust social media presence, The Beer Store has relaunched its website so that it's easier for users to find information on favourite beer brands (via the Beer Finder), weekly deals and promotional events, as well as useful entertaining tips (including beer-themed recipes and pairing suggestions). For smartphone users, accessing the website from their mobile device enables GPS tracking to find the closest Beer Store location anywhere in Ontario and provides the directions on how to get there. This summer, there's no excuse in showing up at a party empty-handed ever again.
