Wild Rose Brewery, Alberta’s own craft brewery, is welcoming summer by throwing the first annual Summer Solstice Party on June 21 at the Wild Rose Taproom. And in classic Wild Rose style, at least 3 new specialty craft beers will be unveiled for the free celebration. But these unique summer craft brews are only here for the day - once the keg or cask is gone, there is no more. The beers will be released throughout the day, with the first one tapped at exactly 11:16 am, the official Summer Solstice for 2011. The names of the beers will be unveiled via Wild Rose’s Twitter feed in the days leading up to June 21 (@wildrosebrewery)
“Calgarians are still waiting for summer to arrive, so we’re giving them something to look forward to,” says Jamie Vadori, General Manager at Wild Rose. “Each member of our brewing team has created their unique vision of the perfect summer beer and they look forward to sharing (and tasting) that vision with beer lovers on June 21.”
Award-winning executive chef Geoff Heath-Smith and his team will also be creating a unique summer-inspired tasting menu to compliment the beers.
Established in 1996, Wild Rose Brewery is a local Calgary craft-brewery passionate about creating great tasting beers, and dedicated to using only the freshest ingredients.
