2011 Canadian Brewing Awards - Call For Entries

Toronto, ON

TAPS Media, parent company of TAPS The Beer Magazine, is pleased to announce the dates for judging the 9th annual Canadian Brewing Awards.

The judging, which is sanctioned by the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), is set to take place in Toronto between August 25 – 28 and will feature beers from all over Canada. The call for entries has just recently gone out to breweries both large and small, throughout the nation, with an August 8th entry form submission deadline. Last year’s Canadian Brewing Awards were the largest to date with over 390 products entered from over 70 breweries and the 2011 competition is expected to attract well over 400 beers from Canada’s growing brewing industry.

The gala and Canadian Brewing Awards medal presentation will take place in Toronto on September 9th, 2011 at a location to be announced closer to the date of the event.

The Canadian Brewing Awards have emerged as the premiere competition for judging the quality of Canadian brewed beer. The contest is the only truly national competition that invites breweries of all sizes from across the country to compete in a blind tasting to see who brews the best beer in a number of style categories.

The Canadian Brewing Awards will introduce a number of new style guidelines to this years competition, styles that have never been judged in a commercial competition in Canada before. 2011 Style Guidelines
