Brewing Local Beer with Ontario's Environmental Watchdog

Brewer’s Plate Silent Auction Winners and Gord Miller, Environmental Commissioner of Ontario will brew a batch of Enviro Pale Ale (EPA) at Great Lakes Brewery

Mike and Francisca Quinn of Loop Initiatives, winners of an exclusive auction prize at the 2011 Brewer's Plate, will brew a 60 litre batch of authentic craft beer on Friday with the help of Gord Miller, Environmental Commissioner of Ontario and under the guidance of Peter Bulut Jr., President and Chief Brewing Officer at Great Lakes Brewery in Toronto. The group will use Ontario-grown hops to brew an ENVIRO PALE ALE (EPA).

The beer will ferment and age for a few weeks before being ready for the Quinns and Mr. Miller to take home and sample with family, friends and food.
