The Pour Poured from a half gallon growler. A nice mahogany colour with a half finger of off-white head. Held up very well for two plane rides back from the US. Decent carbonation remained in the beer. Aroma Decent malt sweetness on the nose. Plenty of cereal grains and biscuity notes present. Minimal hop earthiness. Taste While not big in flavour, there are pleasant balanced sweet and malt tones. The hops are very subtle, with minimal bitterness. Overall Impressions This is a drinkable red ale. While not huge in flavour, it is refreshing. It seems some what light in ABV. Decent beer all in all. Nothing offensive or spectacular; would give it a "B-"."This deep red-colored ale is full of caramelly sweet malt flavors, yet nicely balanced with a smooth finish. Rochester Red is one of our top 3 guest favorites."
