turn and fall. In honor of this yearly dance, we bring you Tumbler Autumn Brown
Ale and invite you to enjoy the show.
We use malt within days of roasting at the peak of its flavor
to give Tumbler a gracefully smooth malt character. So pour a glass, and grab a
window seat to watch as the leaves come tumbling down."
The Pour
This brown ale pours a very dark reddish brown with a very thick three finger head. A decent lacing is left behind.
The Aroma
The aroma was not as strong as I thought it would be. It has a light candy and malty scent to it with not much else, maybe a weak coffee in the background.
The Taste
This brown ale has an excellent malty and slightly sweet taste. There is a nice hop bite that grabs you from the beginning and stays through to the end.
Overall Impressions
My overall impressions of this beer is excellent. This is a perfect example of an Autumn beer. It is well balanced and rich in flavour. This is not surprising coming from Sierra Nevada, they seem to have a knack for brewing world class beer. I would rate this an 8.5 out of 10.
