Cameron's Set to Release Deviator Doppelbock

Oakville, ON

A BeerGeeks.ca Exclusive!

With a new focus on catering to lovers of fine beer, Cameron's has found a market for their one off's and barrel aged goodies. In expanding this new found tradition, is their pending release "Deviator Doppelbock" on

November 28, 2011. Initially, this beauty will be available at the brewery, along with selected bars and restaurants including Stout Irish Pub and barVolo in Toronto. But look for it to expand to an LCBO near you!

This is a 7.1% dark beer, rich with hints of coffee, candied sugar and complex roastiness. With their higher alcohol content by volume and sweetness, these Doppelbock's were originally intended as a meal supplement during times of fasting for the monks in the Abbey's that originally produced them.

I was at the brewery this past Thursday during Cameron's monthly "Cask Night". It was one of those rare instances of being at the right place at the right time and I was fortunate enough to be able to sample some of this sure hit. A taste straight from the fermentor with Cameron's president Bill Coleman and brewer Duncan Rodger.

Cameron’s Deviator Doppelbock
  • Alcohol: 7.1%
  • Size: 341mL bottle
  • Cost: $2.75/bottle, 6 pack for $16.50
  • Release Date: November 28, 2011
  • Availability: At the brewery, along with selected bars and restaurants including Stout Irish Pub and Bar Volo in Toronto.

This is something to be enjoyed. In time for the Holiday's, this is a great winter warmer. Get some to share with family and friends as soon as you can.
