Amsterdam Brewing Company Releases Toronto Beer Week Homebrew Competition Winning Beer

Toronto,ON

The Amsterdam Brewing Company, Toronto’s independently owned and operated craft brewer, has just released a limited batch of the Toronto Beer Week Homebrew Competition winning beer – ‘The Nightman Cometh Black IPA’.

Jeremy Skorochid from Waterloo, Ontario is the brewer behind The Nightman Cometh Black IPA and was invited to the Amsterdam Brewing Company to make a production size batch of his award winning beer after it placed 1st in the Toronto Beer Week Homebrew Competition in September.

Having been brewing for a year and a half, The Nightman Cometh Black IPA is Jeremy’s 2nd version of this particular beer and named after a scene from the hit comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Brewed with chinoook and citra hops, The Nightman Cometh Black IPA has a roasty malt character up front balanced by a citrus aroma and hop bitterness. The beer is dry hopped with vast quantities of citra hops and comes in at 8.6% ABV.

The Nightman Cometh Black IPA was not Jeremy’s only win at the Toronto Beer Week Homebrew Competition. His Imperial Coffee Stout and Barley wine also took gold medals in their categories along with a silver medal for his wheat beer.

The Nightman Cometh Black IPA is available exclusively at the Amsterdam Brewery Retail Store and on tap at select bars and restaurants.

Congratulations to Jeremy and all the winners!
