Beau’s Brewery Presents “The Snowman Lounge” at Ottawa’s Winterbrewed Craft Beer Festival this Weekend

Beau’s Snowman Lounge to Feature 360-Degree Ice Bar, tunes by Local DJs, an Ice Sculpture Gallery, and 12 Beau’s beers on Tap -- including fan-favourite BogFather

Eastern Ontario’s microbrewery, Beau’s All Natural, will be at the heart of Ottawa’s outdoor winter beer festival Winterbrewed, taking place this Saturday Feb. 16 and Sunday Feb. 17. Happening in conjunction with Ottawa’s annual Winterlude, the event takes over Sparks Street each day from 11 am to 9 pm, and features a variety of craft brewed beers and local food served up al fresco, along with music and activities.
Hosted within the festival is the Beau’s Snowman Lounge, where the folks from the Vankleek Hill craft brewery will be transforming an entire block of Sparks Street into a Beaus-ified Winter Wonderland Party of beer, music and fun. The Beau’s Snowman Lounge will be serving up samples and full glasses of 12 different Beau’s beers — including a 2013 edition of fan-favourite BogFather Imperial Gruit — from a huge 360-degree bar carved out of ice.

Lounge-goers can hang out and enjoy tunes spun by local DJs, check out frozen art in the Snowman Lounge’s Ice Sculpture gallery, and build a snowman in the onsite Snowman Field. Beau’s is asking people coming to the Winterbrewed Festival to bring any extra or unneeded winter wear with them to dress their snowmen and snowwomen up – the winter clothing will be gathered at the end of the festival and donated to those in need.

For those who prefer to stay indoors this time of year, Beau’s will be hosting a Winterbrewed Launch party at Bridgehead Roastery Friday February 15, to celebrate the release of the 2013 vintage of their coffee-beer collaboration with Bridgehead. There will be food, music, and 2013’s Winterbrewed on tap, and plenty of Lug Tread on hand as well. The Bridgehead roastery is located at 130 Anderson St. (at Preston), and the event, which runs from 7-11 pm, is free of charge.

The month of February has been changed to FeBREWary again this year at Beau’s All Natural Brewery. Celebrations continue throughout the month, with multiple events and new beer launches weekly in Ottawa and across Ontario. STILL TO COME IN FEBREWARY:
